Preface

I experienced home schooling the first five years of my life.  Did not go out much other than the trips away from the house with mom, dad and my brothers.  As the oldest, I was the test child.  Nursery school, known as "pre-school" today, was not something my parents thought to invest time in.  It was something that was not known at the time to them.

Looking for a school back then was simply driving around and seeing what was out there.  First school that caught my eye was a new school under construction.  When I told my parents of my interest, I was told I'd have to wait eleven years as it was a high school.  A more local school was just a mile away.  It was that school that I would be enrolled in 1961.
