A Farewell to Lowell

For those who went to the post graduation party at Castle Lanes, it was truly an all night event. Some of us actually stayed up, bowled all night, participated in the midnight snacks and breakfast, and continued bowling. For others, the nice, stiff fiberglass benches became beds. One couple decided to celebrate at the party by "making out".......on the bench.......while everyone else watched. How bored or tired could we have been?

The party did end around 7am when we were released the following morning. None of us were permitted to leave until then. A few of us decided to go home and sleep it off. Bev and I decided to tie up a few loose ends at the old school. We took a city bus back to Lowell. It was different walking down the halls of our old alma mater. For the first time, 9th graders passed us by the hallowed halls as we tried to hang on to those fond high school times. We were no longer students...we were now welcomed alums.

Our graduation and the party the night before was truly a "Farewell to Lowell".
